Our services

Our dedicated veterinary team can provide a range of services for the care and welfare of your pets. Some of these services are listed below by way of example but we are not limited to just these services. Please contact our clinics for a full range of our services where we will be happy to discuss your pets individual requirements including nutrition.

Vaccinations
Help to stimulate your pets immune system to produce disease fighting cells and proteins (antibodies) to protect your pet.

Microchipping
By Law all dogs in Ireland must be microchipped. Microchipping your pet is a way of proving ownership but also helps in re-connecting lost or stray pets with their owners.

Neutering
Neutering has great health benefits for your pet, such as reducing the risk of certain types of cancers. Neutering your pet also helps prevent accidental breeding.

Dental
Many pets require routine dental checks and procedures to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

Diagnostics
By using Pawsawhiles biochemistry blood testing machine we can check for many illnesses, including kidney and liver function. The results are available within 10 minutes. For more complicated blood work we use an external laboratory and usually have results within 5 – 10 days.

Through the use of a microscope we differentiate between certain external parasites on dogs, cats and small mammals like guinea pigs and rabbits. We also use the microscope to examine urine samples for the presence of crystals.

Gas Anesthesia
A gas anaesthetic machine similar to the one used in hospitals is used for all major surgeries including bitch spays. This is the preferred method of anesthesia as it can be closely controlled and monitored by the nurse.

Digital X-ray
The advantages of a digital x-ray are speed and exceptional clarity and diagnostic quality of the images.

Ultrasound
An ultrasound scanner is available for pregnancy scans, etc.

Nurse Clinics
Emma, our veterinary nurse, provides a range of clinics including

  • Weight management
  • Dental Hygiene
  • New puppy check ups
  • 6 month puppy check ups.
  • Puppy check ups are provided free of charge.

Euthanasia and Cremation
We understand the loss of a pet is a difficult time for all pet owners and their family. We offer our clients a pet cremation service, private individual cremation allows owners to receive their pets ashes in their choice of casket, tribute box or scatter tube. For personal and practical reasons not every pet owner may not be in a position to receive the ashes, this is also catered for. The clinic will discuss options available. It is a time of grieving and we will be there to support you.
